Purpose |
The Manage Doses screen serves as an interface where you can easily view and modify dose information for a specified series.

This field displays the name of the tracking schedule whose vaccine dose series you are currently editing. |

The 'Series Name' field displays the name of the vaccine series you are editing for the selected tracking schedule. |
Vaccine Group |
This field displays the series vaccine name. For example, HepB for the Comvax series. |
Age at First Dose |
The 'Age at First Dose' field displays the age specified that the client can actually receive the first dose of the series. This field is populated by the selection from the Edit Series screen 'Age at First Dose' pick list. |
Max Doses |
The 'Max Doses' field indicates the maximum number of doses that can be given for the specified series. |
# of Doses in Series |
This field displays the number of total doses present in the series. |

This field is described more in depth in the Edit Series screen. |
Invoke at Age |
This field is described more in depth in the Edit Series screen. |
Unlimited Doses |
This field specifies whether or not the vaccine series will allow unlimited doses. The field will say either Yes or No for unlimited doses. |

Min Age |
The 'Min Age' is the minimum age a client can receive this dose for the specified vaccine making the dose valid. If the dose is administered before the minimum age, the dose will become invalid. |
Min Rec Age |
The 'Min Rec Age' is the minimum recommended age a client can receive this dose for the specified vaccine making the dose valid. |
Min Overdue Age |
The 'Min Overdue Age' is the minimum overdue age a client can receive this dose for the specified vaccine making the dose valid. If the dose is administered after this age, the dose will become invalid. |
Min Interval Between |
The 'Min Interval Between' field specifies the minimum interval between doses in days, months, or years for the specified vaccine. If this interval is not met then the next dose will become invalid. |
Rec Interval Between |
The 'Rec Interval Between' field specifies the recommended interval between doses in days, months, or years for the specified vaccine. |
Overdue Interval Between |
The 'Overdue Interval Between' field specifies the overdue interval between doses in days, months, or years. If the dose is administered after the interval, the dose will become invalid. |
Max Age |
The 'Max Age' field specifies the maximum age a client can receive the dose and still make it a valid dose. This is specified in days, months, or years. Maximum Age Exceeded The recommendations for vaccines now reflects whether a client has exceeded the maximum age or maximum doses for a specific vaccine. For instance, if a client has already reached the age of 5 and hasn't received any PCV (Prevnar), then the recommendation for PCV at the bottom of the immunization history will show "Maximum Age Exceeded" and the client will not show on reminder reports as needing that immunization. |
Early Completion Age |
The 'Early Completion Age' field specifies the minimum age at which a client can complete the series with this dose. This is specified in days, months, or years. |
Changing Dose Parameters
Any column can be edited, and there is no specific order required.
Enter in a number (up to a five digit number, 99999 for example) in the text box for the desired parameter you would like to edit.
Select the parameter range in days, months, or years.
Click the Save button to save the parameter changes. If the changes are successful a message will appear at the top of the screen, **Schedule Updated**.
Adding Doses to a Series
In the available options section, enter in a number of doses you would like to add to the series in the '# of Doses' text box.
Click on the Add Doses button to add the selected number of doses to the series.
An 'Enter Doses for Series' table will be displayed along with the Schedule Information and the Series Information tables. In the 'Enter Doses for Series' table you can enter the data for the dose(s) as needed.
Click the Save button to return to the manage doses screen, the new dose(s) should show up in the 'Doses for Series' table.
Removing Selected Doses from a Series
Select the dose you would like to remove by checking the dose in the 'Select' column of the 'Doses for Series' table.
Click the Remove Selected button to remove the dose from the series.
The following confirmation message will appear "Are you sure you want to permanently delete the selected Doses?".
Click the Yes button to confirm and delete the dose, or click the Cancel button to halt this operation and remain at the current screen.
Adding Dose Constraints for a Series
Click on the Add Constraint button, you will be taken to a screen where you will see a table displaying the doses for the selected series.
In the table checkmark which doses you would like to add the constraint to in the 'Select' column.
At the bottom of the table enter a number for the minimum interval in the 'Minimum Interval' text box, then select the range for that interval in the pick list next to the text box. The available options are Days, Months, and Years.
Next to the minimum interval enter a number for the recommended interval in the 'Recommended Interval' text box, then select the range for that interval in the pick list next to the text box. The available options are Days, Months, and Years.
Click the Save button in the upper right to save the specified constraints.

When the Save button is clicked, all information in the Manage Doses screen will be checked for mistakes and then saved in the system. The following message will appear "**Schedule Updated**" and the user will remain at this screen. |

When the Cancel button is clicked, no information will be checked or saved on the Manage Doses screen. The user will be taken to the previous screen they were at. |

The Add Doses button is used when adding doses to a series. When this button is clicked an 'Enter Doses for Series' table will be displayed for you to add doses. |

The Remove Selected button is used when a user is removing doses from a series. When this button is clicked any selected or checked doses will be removed from the series. You will return to the same screen, and the doses should be removed. |

When the Add Constraint button is clicked, the user will be taken to the Dose Constraints screen where he or she can add or modify the dose constraints for the selected series. |
