 Additional Options

Adding an Alternate Series to the selected series will allow a user to specify an alternate series that will satisfy that series. In other words if DTP/ap has TD selected as an alternate series that will satisfy the DTP/ap series, then completing the TD will essentially complete the DTP/ap series as well, and no further recommendations will be made for DTP/ap or TD.

  1. Click the  Add Alternate  button.

  2. A new screen will appear, select the desired alternate series from the 'Alternate Series' pick list.

  3. Click the  Save  button to save and return to the Edit Series screen or click  Cancel  to discard any selected alternate series and return to the Edit Series screen.

Adding a Prerequisite to the Series will make the current series "Not Valid" until that prerequisite is met.

  1. Click the  Add Prerequisite  button.

  2. A new screen will appear, select the desired prerequisite series from the 'Prerequisite Series' pick list.

  3. Click the  Save  button to save and return to the Edit Series screen or click  Cancel  to discard any selected prerequisite series and return to the Edit Series screen.

Adding a Trade Name Constraint to the Series will allow only the specified trade name to satisfy the vaccine series.

  1. Click the  Add Constraint  button.

  2. A new screen will appear, select the desired trade name constraint from the 'Trade Name' pick list.

  3. Click the  Save  button to save and return to the Edit Series screen or click  Cancel  to discard any selected prerequisite series and return to the Edit Series screen.

Adding Conflicts Between Series' will tell the system to identify the schedule of another specified series as being a conflict to the current series. Thereby making any immunizations added into the system for that conflict series to be "Not Valid".

  1. Click the  Add Conflict  button.

  2. A new screen will appear, select the desired series conflict from the 'Conflict Series' pick list.

  3. Select whether the conflict is "Same Date" (SD) or "Interval" (IN) from the 'Conflict Type' pick list.

  4. Enter the minimum interval for the conflict in the 'Minimum Interval' text box, then select the interval range from the pick list. The interval range can be specified in Days, Months, or Years.

  5. Click the  Save  button to save and return to the Edit Series screen or click  Cancel  to discard any selected series conflicts and return to the Edit Series screen.

If both 'Invoke on Use' and 'Invoke at Age' are selected 'Invoke at Age' will override the 'Invoke on Use' selection if the minimum received age has been met.

If this box is checked, a client's immunization history will not display any recommendations for the vaccine series unless a previous immunization has been administered for that vaccine.

If both 'Invoke on Use' and 'Invoke at Age' are selected 'Invoke on Use' will override the 'Invoke at Age' selection if the immunization has been administered and the minimum received age has NOT been met.
