Data Exchange in the registry is a tool that is used to designate the type of "Electronic File format" a provider wants to use to send data to the registry system.

HMO Query file format
A provider can exchange data with the registry using the HMO Query file format.
-- The chart number match between the query and the registry database must be a perfect match or the query will be returned in the exception file.
-- The query will be in a fixed length format layout and no record delimiter will be used.
-- The registry will perform a match on the chart number supplied and use the names and birth date for verification purposes using the registry match program.
-- The Medicaid ID match between the query and the registry database must be a perfect match or the query will be returned in the exception file.

Enter the File Name in the Job Name Field
To send the Query files to be processed for the registry, click on the BROWSE button and find the path for the Query File name on users computer.
Click on the UPLOAD button to start the data exchange
Job Name: This section is the title of the action for the Query File
The query file will contain clients served by the HMO and for whom a provider Org / Client relationship has previously been established. Failure to have an established provider org/client relationship will result in the query being returned in the exception file.
